Multi-View to 3D: Choose the Right Photo Workflow
Decide when multiple photos help, how to keep views consistent, and what to do with a single-image 3D generator.
Can I upload several views to Image3D?
The current Image3D Studio starts from one image per image-generation request. Uploading a contact sheet does not turn it into a multi-view reconstruction system. This guide helps you choose the right input; there is no hidden multi-photo upload mode on this page.
Choose the workflow before taking photos

Prepare views that describe the same object
- Keep the object, pose and lighting consistent. A moving handle or changing background can obscure whether a feature belongs to the object.
- Capture front, side and rear references without cropping the silhouette. Avoid reflections that hide edges.
- Keep sharp originals. Do not invent unseen details with another image generator and assume they are measurements.
- Follow the chosen multi-view service's input count and angle requirements. There is no universal number that works for every service.
Using Image3D with a photo set
Choose the clearest three-quarter reference that exposes the most important shapes. Submit that single image in Studio. Rotate the result and compare it against the other photos yourself, especially the back, underside and openings. Those extra photos are inspection references; they are not combined by the current generation request.
If the result misses a critical opening, retrying a clearer image may help but cannot guarantee exact dimensions. For mechanical fit or a replacement part, use a measured CAD workflow. For a character or prop, decide which missing detail can be edited after export.
Inspect before choosing an export
Check silhouette first, texture second. A convincing painted line may not be actual geometry. Open a GLB in the viewer and compare both sides. For physical printing, continue to the printing and splitting guide rather than treating a good preview as proof of print readiness.
