How to generate a model from text

1. Open Studio in text mode and describe one object. Include its shape, material and distinguishing features.
2. Review the available quality option and the credits shown before generating. Sign in when prompted.
3. Generate a preview image first and review its appearance. Then choose Convert to 3D. When the 3D model finishes, rotate it to inspect the silhouette, back, underside and disconnected parts. Processing time varies; no fixed completion time is guaranteed.
4. Download an available format according to your account entitlements. Use GLB when you need materials; STL contains geometry only and needs slicer checks.

Start with a concrete prompt

“A small ceramic teapot, rounded body, short curved spout, sturdy loop handle, simple blue glaze, one isolated object.”

Focus on visible structure rather than a scene full of objects. Generated geometry may miss details or interpret them differently. Text is useful for concepts and props; it does not encode precise dimensions or engineering tolerances.

Text to 3D or image to 3D?

Use text to explore an idea without drawing it first. Use image to 3D when the outline and appearance of a reference matter. Neither workflow guarantees an exact reconstruction, clean topology, animation-ready rigging or print-ready geometry.

Credits, exports and next steps

Image preview generation and 3D conversion are separate steps. Studio shows the applicable credit requirement before each submission. Available options and download access depend on your account; check Pricing for current terms. This guide does not change free or paid entitlements.
