IMAGE3D · LOCAL FILE TOOL
GLB to USDZ Converter
Choose a self-contained static GLB, convert it in your browser and download USDZ. Supports standard PBR materials and embedded PNG/JPEG textures. Your file is not uploaded.
1. Choose a local GLB
Up to 250,000 triangles. Static, opaque, single-sided materials only. See the full supported range below.
2. Convert and download
Local conversion needs no account and uses no credits. Image3D Studio generation and paid exports follow your plan.
The preview shows your input, not the exported USDZ. Check materials, orientation and size in your destination app after downloading. iPhone Quick Look has not been verified on a physical device.
Which files work?
- GLB 2.0: one self-contained file with triangle meshes, no animation, skinning, morph targets, compression or glTF extensions.
- Standard opaque, single-sided PBR materials: base color, metallic/roughness, normal, emissive and occlusion maps. Normal and AO strength must use defaults. Vertex colors, transparency, double-sided materials and texture transforms are not supported.
- Embedded PNG/JPEG: up to 16 images, 4096 pixels per side and about 32 million pixels combined. Exported textures are packed as PNG. Material conversion is not lossless.
- Up to 30 MB, 250,000 triangles and 1,000,000 vertices. GLB coordinates in meters and Y-up orientation are preserved; no automatic centering or resizing. Fix incorrect source dimensions in an editor first.
Unsupported files show an error and cannot be downloaded. Re-export a suitable static GLB in an editor such as Blender, or reduce its complexity first.

Use GLB and USDZ on your website
Apple Quick Look displays USDZ. With model-viewer, use src for your GLB and ios-src for the matching USDZ. Host both files on your website and replace the example paths below; this converter does not host models or create sharing links.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GLB and USDZ?
Both can package a model and textures, but use different scene and material formats. GLB is common in web viewers; USDZ serves USD workflows including Apple Quick Look. Renaming the extension does not convert a file, and the destination renderer may look different.
Why was my file rejected?
This version rejects unsupported features to avoid silently losing them. Follow the error message to remove animation, compression, external resources or unsupported materials. Broken textures, oversized files and non-triangle geometry can also cause rejection.
Is iPhone compatibility guaranteed?
No. USDZ is a format supported by Apple Quick Look, but this tool has not completed physical iPhone testing. Open your download on the target iPhone or iPad and check orientation, real dimensions, textures and materials before using it in a store or client delivery.
Does conversion upload my file or use credits?
This tool converts the local file you choose inside your browser, without uploading the model or using credits. It does not fetch or unlock Studio assets. Image3D Studio generation and paid exports retain their plan rules.
